Activimeter “in situ” calibration methodology to 111In and 123I

نویسندگان

چکیده

The activimeter calibration has the purpose of ensure greater reliability in measurement results, hence activimeters used are commonly installed controlled areas and, some cases, with difficult access. “in situ” methodology presented this work allows its execution only displacement radioactive samples and not itself, which simplifies procedure nuclear medicine services at radiopharmaceuticals production centers, without affecting quality accuracy measurements. After application by qualified technicians, obtained results tested showed importance since factors can present correction up to 5% for 111In than 123I.

111In-octreotide is superior to 123I-metaiodobenzylguanidine for scintigraphic detection of head and neck paragangliomas.

UNLABELLED In this study, we evaluated the diagnostic yield of somatostatin receptor scintigraphy (SRS), I-metaiodobenzylguanidine (MIBG) scintigraphy, and morphologic imaging (CT or MRI) in patients with head and neck paragangliomas. METHODS In a university hospital setting, patients considered to have head and neck paraganglioma were referred to the outpatient endocrinology department and u...

Determination of the influence factors of the radiopharmaceutical vials dimensions used for activimeter calibration at IPEN.

This paper presents the establishment of a quality control program and correction factors for the geometry of the vials used for distribution of radiopharmaceutical and activimeters calibration. The radiopharmaceutical produced by IPEN 67Ga, 131I, 201Tl and 99mTc had been tested using two different vials. Results show a maximum variation of 22% for 201Tl, and the minimum variation was 2.98% for...

Comparison of 6-18F-fluorodopamine PET with 123I-metaiodobenzylguanidine and 111in-pentetreotide scintigraphy in localization of nonmetastatic and metastatic pheochromocytoma.

UNLABELLED We compared functional imaging modalities including PET with 6-(18)F-fluorodopamine ((18)F-DA) with (123)I-metaiodobenzylguanidine ((123)I-MIBG) and somatostatin receptor scintigraphy (SRS) with (111)In-pentetreotide in nonmetastatic and metastatic pheochromocytoma (PHEO). METHODS We studied 25 men and 28 women (mean age +/- SD, 44.2 +/- 14.2 y) with biochemically proven nonmetasta...

In-Situ Calibration: Migrating Control System IP Module Calibration from the Bench to the Storage Ring

The Control System for the Advanced Light Source (ALS) at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) uses in-house designed IndustryPack (IP) modules contained in compact PCI (cPCI) crates with 16-bit analog I/O to control instrumentation. To make the IP modules interchangeable, each module is calibrated for gain and offset compensation. We initially developed a method of verifying and calibrating ...

An in situ calibration for hearing thresholds.

Quantifying how the sound delivered to the ear canal relates to hearing threshold has historically relied on acoustic calibration in physical assemblies with an input impedance intended to match the human ear (e.g., a Zwislocki coupler). The variation in the input impedance of the human ear makes such a method of calibration questionable. It is preferable to calibrate the acoustic signal in eac...
